CLOSING CHAPEL is on THURSDAY at 8:15. Pastor Tiner will be our chapel leader this week. Our offerings this Six Weeks go to our own Braille Ministry here at Immanuel. Baptism Birthdays for May & June will be celebrated. Awards presentations follows chapel.

OUTSTANDING TUITION AND FEES: Report cards will be mailed during the week of June 2nd. Unpaid accounts will not receive the report card. Families may finalize their lunch bills after 1:30 on Wednesday by calling the school office, 542-3319.
JUNE 6 & 7: Relay for Life; Giddings High School track; 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. Immanuel Church and School has almost five teams of 15 ready to go! Bracelets, keychains, koozies, car magnets, purple ink pens, and bookmarks are available at the school office for $1.00. “Sunburst” symbols are also available for $1.00 for a supportive bulletin board.
TEACHER UPDATES: The Board of Christian Day School is in the process of interviewing for the 1st grade position. All other positions have been filled for 2008-2009. Voters’ Meeting on June 1 to call a teacher.
CUSTODIAN POSITION AVAILABLE: Applications are being accepted for this fulltime position. A summer-only position is also an option if a individual is only available in June, July, August. Call the school office at 542-3319 or stop by the office for an application.
BOXTOPS FOR EDUCATION: 1st place overall this year is our Kindergarten class who collected 1,833! 2nd place is Second grade with 1,064 and 3rd place is Miss Conway’s room with 986. Great job! Approximately $750 has been received from this third-source funding program. Kindergarteners . . . enjoy your ice cream party! Many thanks to Michelle Harville, our BFE Coordinator.
SUMMER TUTORING AVAILABLE: Miss Conway, Mrs. Schimank and Mrs. Schaefer are taking students. Private arrangements. Please contact them at 542-3319.
SCHOLARHIP FORMS are available for tuition assistance. Check with the School Office to pick up an application. This process is contracted through Tuition Aid Analysis Service, there is no personal judgement made at our level. Deadline is June 1.
HOOP FOR LIFE: Boys and Girls in grades 5th-12th are invited to play 3-on-3 BASKETBALL in a tournament here on Saturday, May 31 beginning at 9:00 a.m. Pick up a flyer at school. Proceeds to benefit Relay for Life and Immanuel Athletics.
YEARBOOK PICTURES: If you have any pictures from this schoolyear you would like to share, please email them or bring them in on a CD to Miss Conway (missmaryhelenconway@hotmail.com). If you only have printed pictures, we can scan and return them. If you would like to purchase a business/recognition ad, please send ad & payment to school office or Miss Conway. Forms are available at office.
Last day of school: Thursday, May 29th. – Closing chapel 8:15 followed by the presentation of awards. Classroom parties or closing activities follow the awards until 11:15 a.m. Kindergarten and Eighth grade graduation is Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the church. All BILLS must be PAID in order to receive your report card. Graduates should be in the Kindergarten room at 6:30.
